Privacy Notice
How we handle your data
Venus Systems Ltd ("we") is the controller of personal data collected through venus-systems.io. Questions about this notice: blake@venus-systems.io.
What we collect
- Enquiry form: your name, company, work email, phone number (optional), what you tell us about your business, budget range, timeline and how you heard about us.
- Visit source: when you arrive, we record how you found us (for example LinkedIn, Google, a referring website or a campaign link), the page you landed on, and a random visit ID. This is stored in your browser's session storage only for as long as the tab is open. We do not use cookies or advertising trackers, and we skip this if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask us to, prepare a proposal — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- To understand which channels bring us enquiries, so we can run the business sensibly — our legitimate interests.
We do not sell your data or use it for automated decision-making.
Where it goes
Form submissions are processed by our website host (Netlify) and stored in our customer relationship management system. These providers act on our instructions under data processing terms. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum are used.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted after 24 months. If you become a client, we keep records for as long as needed to deliver the work and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing blake@venus-systems.io. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
